LWC is looking for a part-time Home Care Aide/C.N.A. This position will be responsible for assisting residents at our Alabama House Assisted Living Facility with daily activities including transferring and toileting. Schedule is Sunday-Tuesday 3pm-11pm.
At least a High School Diploma plus experience in work with special needs populations; Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Care Aide credential from WA state Department of Health in good standing, AA or BA in Human Services related discipline preferred; Good organizational skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach; Ability to apply a Recovery based approach and to apply clinical knowledge; Good verbal and written communication skills; Basic computer skills; Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion; Visual and auditory skills required to communicate, to ensure and deliver client care, and to provide documentation of care; Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching; Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks; Requires ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR, and successful completion of Boarding Home training requirements (WAC 388-112). Employment is contingent on successful fingerprint background check.
