LWC is looking for a full-time care provider at our Baker Creek Residential Treatment Facility. This position provides overnight supervision of residential clients, supports the overall care of our clients, secures the building, addresses client needs, and responds to emergencies at the Baker Creek facility. This specific opening is 4 10-hour shifts: Monday-Thursday, 9:15 pm – 7:15 am.
Successful candidates must be comfortable working alone overnight.
At least a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus experience working with special needs populations; a C.N.A. or Home Care Aide credential or an AA or BA in Human Services related discipline preferred; Good organizational skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach; Ability to apply a Recovery based approach and to apply clinical knowledge; Good verbal and written communication skills; Basic computer skills, with experience utilizing an electronic medical record preferred; Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion; Visual and auditory skills required to communicate, to ensure and deliver client care, and to provide documentation of care; Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching, climbing stairs; Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks; Requires ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR, and be licensed as an Agency Affiliated Counselor. Employment is contingent on successful fingerprint background check.
