Residential Night Staff/Clinical Floater
***LIVE IN POSITION***
The Resident Night Staff/Clinical Floater is responsible during the hours of 10:00 pm to 7:30 am several nights a week to assist the Agate Heights Assisted Living Facility clinical program to support the overall care of our clients, to secure the building, address client needs, and respond to emergencies. This is a live-in position at our residential assisted living facility working with adults with serious and persistent mental illness. Pay is $550 month stipend, which includes Room & Board. Additional $14.00/ hr. pay during training and when acting as primary night staff. There is potential for additional on-call hours.
Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach. Good personal relations skills; ability to work with chronically mentally ill clients. Good verbal and written communication skills; visual and auditory skills required to communicate, ensure, and deliver client care. Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching. Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks. Requires ability to lift 30 pounds.
Employment is contingent on successful fingerprint background check. Additional requirements can be obtained after employment: DOH Home Care Aide credential within 7 days of employment, First Aid/CPR, and successful completion of Boarding Home training requirements (WAC 388-112).
Some of the responsibilities of the Resident Night Staff/Clinical Floater include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain client and staff confidentiality at all times
- Ensure client and staff safety at all times by responding to crisis situations
- Provide emergency First Aid, including CPR until trained medical help arrives, if currently certified
- Respond to physical plant emergencies if only staff in building, including power outages, smoke detectors, plumbing, heating, phone problems
- Answer all incoming telephone calls ass needed
- Be able to write legibly for documentation of medications
- Be able to hand out medications correctly to clients
- Access our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System to document medications/interactions with clients if necessary
- Assist Clinical Staff
- Other duties as assigned
