Residential Program Rehabilitation Specialist

The full-time Residential Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for providing individual services working with serious and persistent mentally ill adults and providing support to the Residential Program. The Residential Rehabilitation Specialist assists clients using the Recovery model to meet their individual goals of their treatment plan in coordination with the Residential Services team.

 

Duties:

This position will have the opportunity to develop a program centered around activities for the residents at our Agate Heights Assisted Living Facility. Transporting our clients to the main office on Meridian Street for their various appointments, performing medication pass, and other clinical duties are required. This position will be working 40 hours per week, including weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences or related field, or Associate of Arts with at least one (1) year of experience in mental health or related field working with serious and persistent mentally ill adults. Good organizational skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach; Ability to apply a Recovery based approach and to apply clinical knowledge; Good verbal and written communication skills; Basic computer skills; Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion;  Visual and auditory skills required to communicate, to ensure and deliver client care, and to provide legal documentation of care; Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching; Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks; Requires ability to lift 30 pounds. Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and ability to be covered by LWC insurance carrier. Employment contingent on successful background check and Washington State counseling profession credential issued by the Department of Health (e.g. Agency Affiliated Counselor).
