    The Maintenance Tech II, under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, is responsible for providing ongoing maintenance, repair, and construction for all LWC facilities and equipment. This position is focused on apartment turn-arounds, with an emphasis on painting, wallboard, trim work, flooring, and general repairs.

    Starting salary is 24.75/hr - This is for minimum qualified candidates - Additional year of applicable experience, especially relative to plumbing, electrical, and mechanical, will increase the starting wage offer.

    This is a full-time position, with benefits.

    Minimum Qualifications

    · High School, trade school diploma or equivalent, and one year of relevant experience and/or training, or 2 years relevant experience.

    · Specific experience and training in general plumbing diagnosis and repairs.

    · Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

    · Ability to properly assess and repair general electrical, mechanical, and structural issues.

    · Ability to properly and safely use maintenance tools and equipment. (Power and hand).

    · Good customer service skills, with proven ability to work with difficult individuals.

    · Good organizational skills.

    · Basic computer skills.

    · Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

    · Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach.

    · Ability to understand new information for both current and future problem solving and decision-making. Ability to give and receive feedback and comments.

    · Solid verbal and written communication skills.

    · Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching.

    · Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks.

    · Acceptable driving record and ability to be covered by LWC insurance carrier.

    Essential Functions

    · Perform routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance and repairs of agency facilities and equipment as directed.

    · Ensure timely completion of all Work Orders, indicate completion and add relevant notes as required.

    · Properly and consistently use personal protective equipment when working.

    · Coordinate routine vehicle inspection and maintenance.

    · Ensure tools, supplies, shop, and work areas are kept safe, neat, and orderly.

    · Repair and paint walls/surfaces as needed.

    · Keep maintenance records as requested.

    · Maintain agency grounds, e.g. lawn mowing, removal of debris, pruning, landscaping as requested.

    · Assist in the upkeep of tile, hardwood, and carpeted floors as requested.

    · Inform Facilities Supervisor of any materials or tools needed for specific jobs far enough in advance to avoid work stoppage and/or unscheduled shopping.

    · Maintain a working knowledge of (and assumption of responsibility for) agency policies, procedures, and equipment, which relate to this position, and knowledge of DSHS ALF Maintenance and Housekeeping WACs.

    · Maintain safety stations, first aid kits, and participate in the safety committee as requested.

    · Constantly look for and evaluate maintenance needs, preventative, as well as corrective, and bring them to the attention of the supervisor.

    · Have a flexible schedule and be on call for emergencies as needed, and participate in maintenance On-Call rotation.

    · Exercise independent judgment and discretion.

    · Perform other duties as assigned

    The Lake Whatcom Residential & Treatment Center is hiring for two experienced Home Care Aides/Certified Nursing Assistants/ Behavioral Health Technicians for our Maplewood Enhanced Services Facility (ESF) and new Birchwood multi-disciplinary care center. This posting is for two, full-time overnight shift positions.

    Starting Salary shown is for minimum applicable experience - Additional experience will raise the initial offered rate. Additionally, hours worked between 11 pm and 7 am are paid an additional $2/hr shift differential.

    Position will be responsible for assisting our residents with daily activities including transferring and toileting, bed checks, and med passes.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Home Care Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant/Behavioral Health Technician certification from WA state Department of Health, in good standing.

    A High School Diploma or equivalent, plus experience in work with special needs populations, AA or BA in Human Services related disciplines preferred.

    Good organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

    Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach;

    Ability to apply a Recovery based approach and to apply clinical knowledge;

    Good verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills.

    Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion;

    Visual and auditory skills required to communicate, to ensure and deliver client care, and to provide documentation of care;

    Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching; Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks; Requires ability to lift 50 pounds.

    Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR, and successful completion of Boarding Home training requirements (WAC 388-112).

    LWC is seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP/SUDP/t). The SUDP/SUDP/t is responsible for working with adult clients in a residential setting, with a multi-disciplinary team under the facility Supervisor, providing and coordinating substance use disorder staging assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery tailored to the individual needs of clients with dual disorders of mental illness and substance use issues.

    Candidates holding a SUDP license - Starting wage is $29.70/hr for minimal qualifications – Additional applicable experience will increase starting wage offer.

    Candidates holding a SUDP/t license - Starting wage is $25.30/hr for minimal qualifications – Additional applicable experience will increase starting wage offer.

    · Current SUDP or SUDP/t license through WA state DoH, in good standing, required.

    · Willing to assume designated responsibility to provide and coordinate substance abuse assessment alongside stage of change assessment, treatment planning, and service delivery tailored to the individual needs of clients with dual disorders of mental illness and substance use issues.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Take the lead role in providing substance use education, resource referral, and support services

    • Utilize MI and IDDT training and material to build rapport, educate and support clients with dual diagnosis

    • Provide individual and group counseling in office and community settings in a stage-based treatment model that is non-confrontational, considers interactions of mental illness and substance abuse, and has client-determined goals

    • Coordinate with community resources and outside inpatient services to detoxify clients and establish linkage to outpatient treatment, self-help/peer-support programs (e.g. 12-step programs, Celebrate Recovery, SMART Recovery, Dual Recovery)

    • Take a lead role or participate in the provision of rehabilitation services

  • PACT Case Manager

    Our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Team is seeking an experienced Case Manager to join their team. The PACT Case Manager is a non-exempt position under the supervision of the PACT Program Supervisor. The PACT Case Manager is responsible for engaging with PACT Program clients, med-monitoring, and other clinical duties.

    This is a full-time position.

    The starting wage for this position is $24.20/hr for a minimally qualified candidate - Additional years of applicable experience will increase the starting wage offered.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences or related field, or Associate of Arts with at least two (2) years’ experience in mental health or related field working with serious and persistent mentally ill adults.

    Good organizational skills.

    Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

    Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach.

    Ability to apply a Recovery based approach and to apply clinical knowledge.

    · Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process

    · Participate in daily staff organizational meetings and treatment planning review meetings

    · Provide ongoing assessment, problem-solving, side-by-side services, skill training, supervision, and environmental adaptations to assist clients with activities of daily living Other job duties as assigned.
