Employment Services
Lake Whatcom Center's Employment Services program is an integrated service that helps individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness meet their personal vocational goals. Employment Services assess vocational interests and provide job development, career exploration, resume assistance, and interview preparation using an evidence-based supported employment model to further client development. Our services are client-directed and give customized and extensive support.
Employment Services utilizes trained professionals to meet client needs by understanding how mental health impacts employment, developing strategies for preventing relapse, and sustaining employment growth. In addition, they work with each client to help them develop skills based on the individual client's preferences, strengths, abilities, and experiences as job goals and aspirations change.
Lake Whatcom Center also offers direct employment opportunities for people with disabilities while giving needed support.
